APA encourages you to submit names of those with financial hardships to become AICP members by taking advantage of the 2010 Reduced Exam Fee Scholarship program.

One of the responsibilities of a Chapter Professional Development Officer is to provide assistance to prospective AICP members preparing for the AICP Exam. Taking the exam itself can help you gain more recent experience when counseling prospective candidates.

The application window for the November 2009 AICP exam will be Monday, June 1 – Thursday, July 9, 2009. All employment and education verifications must be received by mail in APA’s Washington, DC office no later than 2 weeks after application submission or else the application will marked as incomplete. The final day that we will accept employment and education verifications for the November 2009 exam is Thursday, July 23, 2009.

There are inactive membership status exemptions for AICP members to be temporarily exempt from the requirement to earn Certification Maintenance (CM) credits.

Information about multiple topics including the CD ROM lending Library, Ethics Session Toolkit, Community Planning Workshop Toolkit, CPC Chapter Best Practices with CM, Sign In Sheets, Self-reported / Self-study, National Planning Conference CM Credit Calculation, and Partial CM Credits.
