2015 Urban Planning Conference (CM | TBD)

March 25, 2015 @ 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

$30

The Savannah State University Master of Science in Urban Studies and Planning program, is pleased to extend an invitation for you to attend the 2015 Urban Planning Conference titled “Planning to Thrive: Collaboration, Adaptation and Implementation” on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the new Student Union.

The conference will address how planning facilitates communities to thrive and stay ahead of challenges. Planning plays an important role in addressing those challenges and anticipating the future of American cities. By staying ahead of challenges, cities are ready to see opportunities and thrive. Planning makes connections between the future vision and short term actions. Cities that don’t actively plan for their future may not be able to thrive. Conference participants will explore a range of questions about the role of planning in creating thriving communities.

All sessions are open to the public. All participants must register and pay the conference fees of $25.00 (advance payment) or $30.00 (day of the conference). All proceeds go to benefit students of the Urban Studies and Planning program at Savannah State University.

For a full conference schedule, list of presenters and online registration, visit the website.

As we have done in the two previous years, all lectures in the conference will be registered to the American Planning Association for Certification Maintenance (CM) credits for AICP holders.

Please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Deden Rukmana (conference organzier) at (912) 358-3218 or rukmanad@savannahstate.edu.
