Qualified applicants may interview for posted positions during this event! \nApplicants interested in attending the event should apply using the links below. Qualified candidates will be contacted to schedule preliminary interviews on-site on a first-come\, first-served basis. Interested parties may attend the event without applying but should expect longer wait times. Please plan to stay onsite for the entire event. It is suggested that you bring a resumé. The attire is business casual. \nPlanning and Development will schedule on-site interviews for the following positions: \n\nCode Enforcement Officers: responds to citizen questions and complaints; performs field investigations to determine compliance with codes\, ordinances\, rules\, and regulations; issues notices and citations; and prepares detailed reports of findings.\nEducation and experience requirements: Associate degree and one year of code enforcement\, inspections\, or customer service experience\nInspections: inspects residential\, multi-family\, and commercial construction sites for compliance with code and ordinance requirements\, and applicable approved plans.\n\nDevelopment Inspector – High School Diploma or GED and three years of related construction or trades experience\n\nBuilding Inspector – High School Diploma or GED and two years of related construction or trades experience\nPlan Review: provides customer service\, reviews residential and commercial site plans.\nEducation and experience requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering\, landscape architecture\, or planning and one year of customer service experience\, specifically permitting\, plan review\, land use\, and zoning\nPlanning: reviews plans to ensure compliance with County\, state\, and federal ordinances and laws.\nEducation and experience requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering\, landscape architecture\, or planning and one year of customer service experience\, specifically permitting\, plan review\, land use\, and zoning \n\nPermitting: supports fiscal and licensing activities; provides excellent customer service; and processes various business/occupation tax documents\, forms\, and cash transactions.\nEducation and experience requirements: High school diploma or GED and two years of bookkeeping\, accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience\n\nThe function of Gwinnett County Department of Planning and Development is to promote and enhance the quality of life of residents\, visitors\, property owners\, and businesses of Gwinnett County through programs and services that encourage high-quality development as well as maintenance and revitalization of existing neighborhoods.
