DESCRIPTION:The DeKalb County Department of Planning and Sustainability will host the annual World Planning Day event at the Rainbow Park Amphitheatre. The event focuses on bringing the community together to learn about planning and take-home information and resources that will help them best advocate for their communities. The event also aims to be family-friendly and accessible to all ages! \nOver twenty DeKalb County Departments and local partners will participate in the event to share valuable information and resources with the community. \nPartners include MARTA\, the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM)\, DeKalb Board of Education\, the UGA Cooperative Extension\, and the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners. SUMMARY:Deadline to Apply for GPA Mentor Program
DESCRIPTION:GPA facilitates an annual Mentor Program. The 2026 program will run from January to June. The program has a flexible format so that senior mentors\, mid-career planners\, and emerging professionals can tailor their own experience in a team. GPA members who are practicing planners at any career stage are encouraged to apply. Participants benefit from leadership development\, professional development\, career advice\, and networking. \nThe 2026 Mentor application window is open through November 19\, 2025.
