EDI Committee Meeting

The mission of the EDI committee is to promote more inclusive, just, and equitable communities through a planning profession as diverse and inclusive as the many communities we serve, and to equip planners to perform inclusive planning and work effectively across diverse communities.

Deadline for Awards Nominations

The annual GPA Awards Program is GPA’s opportunity to recognize outstanding work in the planning profession in the State of Georgia. The 2021 awards nomination process will close on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 6:00 pm.

Georgia Smart Communities Challenge Final Presentation: Streamlining Suburban Transit in Sandy Springs

Georgia Smart empowers communities to envision and plan for a smarter future by providing opportunities to work with Georgia Tech and university researchers to advance local initiatives. In 2020, the city of Sandy Springs was one of four communities supported by Georgia Smart for their “Streamlining Suburban Transit” project, which sought to pilot Transit Signal Priority with an Application Program Interface.
