APA Announces Grant Recipients for the Plan4Health Project
Today, APA will be announcing its grant recipients for the Plan4Health project, a program funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. APA was one of three national organizations selected for this program and received $3 million to help increase access to nutritious foods and physical activity in our communities. APA will be redistributing $2.25 million of the grant to APA Chapter-led coalitions. The Plan4Health project is managed through APA’s Planning and Community Health Center.
Eighteen chapter-led coalitions were selected after a competitive RFP review process. The coalitions met last week in Dallas to kick-off the Plan4Health project. The coalitions are:

Plan4Health is an exciting, new type of project for APA, broadly expanding our partnerships. Each of the chapter coalitions also includes an affiliate from the American Public Health Association, strengthening our existing relationship with our counterparts in the public health profession. The Plan4Health project is a great opportunity to raise awareness about the connection between planning and community health.
