Description of Job / Position
The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission is seeking qualified candidates for the Position of Community Planner. Duties include assisting county and municipal governments with comprehensive planning, zoning and land use, and/or transportation planning and other planning practice. Knowledge of community and regional planning theories, principles, and practices is necessary. Visit our website for more program information.

Job Requirements
Knowledge of computer operations, technical writing, interpersonal relations, and oral and written communication are required. The candidate should have a level of competency commonly associated with a baccalaureate degree in a related occupational field; Bachelors’ Degree in Planning and/or 1-2 plus years of planning experience is preferred. The candidate must be available for occasional daily travel within a 15 county region.
