Description
The essential function of the position within the organization is to direct and manage zoning operations for the County. The position is responsible for supervising staff involved in the review of zoning, variance and appeals cases, subdivision review, sign permits, development plans, and providing customer service; providing information and assistance to the public in zoning-related matters; conducting studies and analyzing technical data presented in zoning applications; interpreting the Zoning Ordinance and preparing amendments or changes to the code; assisting in the preparation and administration of the departmental budget; and performing related administrative/clerical functions. The position develops and implements programs within organizational policies; reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, planning or a closely related field.
  • Requires a valid State of Georgia Driver’s License and satisfactory
  • Motor Vehicle Record.
  • AICP certification is preferred.
  • Requires four years of zoning and/or planning experience, and management experience.

Salary & Benefits
Salary range: $ 47,222 – 73,195
