Description
This position is a mid-level career position with some supervisory responsibilities. The Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day permitting and plan review duties of the Community Development Department. This position supervises junior-level staff to ensure County ordinances and policies are properly enforced and implemented and reports to the Assistant Community Development Director. The Planning Manager will assist with the Comprehensive Plan update, implementation of the short-term work program, implementation of the impact fee program, and other duties as assigned by the Community Development Director.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or similar field. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum five years’ experience in local government planning and zoning or equivalent combination of experience and education. Attendance at night meetings is required, and the position will be located in Pembroke, Georgia.
