Description
The River Valley Regional Commission, a regional planning agency providing planning and community development assistance to sixteen counties and thirty-five municipalities in west-central Georgia, has an immediate opening for a Regional Planner. The River Valley Regional Commission has offices located in Columbus and Americus. Primary responsibilities include assisting with local government comprehensive planning, zoning/land use and resource planning, economic development, grant writing, and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Strong analytical, written and oral skills are required.
• Undergraduate degree in planning, public administration, or closely related field 
• 5 years of experience
• Master’s Degree or AICP certification preferred.

Salary & Benefits
Salary commensurate with education and experience. Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance. 12 days annual leave per year upon starting and 12 sick days per year. 13 paid holidays.
