Georgia Supreme Court Hoechstetter v. Pickens County Decision Poses Zoning Process Challenges for Georgia Local Governments
The Georgia Supreme Court’s recent opinion in Hoechstetter v. Pickens County partially clarified the public hearing requirements of the Zoning Procedures Law but left many questions unanswered, creating a number of challenges for local governments seeking to assure meaningful public input into zoning decisions.
