SUMMARY:GA ITE Summer Seminar (CM | 10.25)
DESCRIPTION:The 2012 Georgia Institute of Transportation Engineers (GA ITE) Summer Seminar is being held July 15-18 in St. Simons Island at the beautiful King & Prince Beach & Golf Resort! \nThe conference is well attended by transportation engineers\, planners\, and policy makers from across Georgia and the Southeast\, and is generally considered one of the best ITE statewide seminars in the country… and most importantly\, it’s at the beach! Dr. Michael Meyer of Georgia Tech is the keynote speaker\, and his presentation focuses on the overall seminar theme of “Learn from our Past\, Improve our Future”. \nTechnical sessions include presentations on alternate intersection and complete street implementations\, sustainability assessment toolboxes\, update on statewide planning studies\, and a review of GDOT’s managed lanes initiatives. Regional transit updates from the Beltline\, MARTA\, and the MMPT design group will also be provided. Up to 10.25 CM credits are available to attendees. \nThe website for this year’s conference is: http://www.gaite.org/summer-seminar/
