DESCRIPTION:GPA is pleased to team up with the Georgia Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) in Metro Atlanta for a joint lunch meeting on: \nThursday\, November 8th\n11:30 AM – 1:00 PM\nPark Tavern\n500 10th Street NE\, Atlanta \nThe featured speaker is Chris Kochititzky\, National Center for Chronic Disease and Health Promotion at CDC. Chris is also an adjunct professor at Emory University\, teaching a class on Public Health and the Built Environment with joint enrollment from Emory public health students and Georgia Tech planning\, architecture\, and engineering students. His presentation will focus on planning and transportation engineering’s link to public health and will include real world examples of successful cross-sector partnerships amongst the three sectors. \nThis event has been approved for 1 CM credit! \nDon’t delay – the deadline to register is midnight on Monday\, November 5. \nRegister Here

DESCRIPTION:The Georgia ITE Summer Seminar is one of the best annual transportation conferences in Georgia (some feel the best of all ITE sections nationwide). It is packed full of great technical programs and important\, relevant topics. The theme this year is “AIM HIGH” to emphasize the lofty goals we have for Georgia ITE\, Georgia’s transportation network\, and the future of our profession.
