SUMMARY:CANCELLED - District 3 Event: The Belief in Housing
DESCRIPTION:**Unfortunately\, we must cancel the event. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will be contacting registrants and refunding any fees paid. We hope to reschedule at a later date.** \nPlease join us for an informative presentation by William Johnston\, Executive Director of the MicroLife Institute\, as he explains the institute’s beliefs in theory around adding more community-driven housing projects by changing policy. This will be an interactive session where you will learn about the institute’s journey through building a micro pocket neighborhood and how it partnered with the City of Clarkston and other stakeholders to create a successful\, density-driven project. William will be joined by Shawanna Qawiy\, Clarkston’s Planning/Economic and Development Director\, who will provide additional insight into the city’s Cottage Home Ordinance. Following the presentation\, we will visit the Cottages on Vaughan to see the successful development that resulted from this partnership between the MicroLife Institute and the city. \nRegistration is limited to 35 participants. The registration fee of $20 for GPA members or $25 for non-members will go towards covering the cost of light refreshments and a donation to support the MicroLife Institute’s work. \n*Masks will be required in the Community Center regardless of vaccination status. \nThis event will be eligible for 2.5 CM credits. \nQuestions?
