DESCRIPTION:There is an upcoming 8 CM Resilient Places symposium scheduled for February 24-25 in Asheville\, NC that will include a 1.5 CM session on Planning Law (to meet AICP law CM requirements). Come hear from a practicing attorney and Ohio State professor on planning law\, a NOAA climate scientist on our future climate\, an expert in the field of green infrastructure finance\, and a facilitator of multiple climate adaptation plans\, as well as learn about climate effects on transportation and resilient building and site design. \nAs a bonus\, after the conclusion of the first day of the symposium\, participants are invited to The Collider’s Beer City Science Pub (http://thecollider.org/events/event/beer-city-science-pub-6/) to learn about the Homo erectus migration out of Africa (presumably they were carefully vetted) while enjoying a beverage and small bites. \nThe cost of the 1.5 day event is $125 plus a small service charge.
