SUMMARY:Building Schools\, Building Communities – A School Siting Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Who: Decision makers\, leaders and planners from local school districts\, local government\, state agencies and advocacy groups in the metro Atlanta Region and State of Georgia.  \nWhat: A one-day symposium to introduce leaders from across disciplines to the factors that influence school siting decisions in Georgia and the Southeast. This workshop will explore alternatives for enhancing collaboration around school siting through policies and actions on the local\, regional and state level.  \nWhy: The purpose of this symposium is to facilitate discussion about how schools and communities can work together to create thriving\, vibrant places to live in the Atlanta region and throughout the state.
