AICP 2014-2015 CM Grace Period Extension
Are you behind in fulfilling your AICP-CM requirements?
You are not alone. A number of AICP members in our GA Chapter are running behind and need more CM credits for the recent reporting period.
Good News from APA: There’s still time to meet your CM requirements! On January 1, 2016, the CM system automatically granted you a five-month extension. The grace period allows you to continue earning and logging credits for the 2014-2015 reporting period through May 31, 2016! Now, exhale!
Here are a few suggestions on how to fulfill your CM requirements.
- Check out APA’s streaming media education products – Many 2015 NPC sessions: Content-Neutral Sign Regulation After Reed v. Gilbert, and other products approved for CM ethics: Ethics Case of the Year and Health Equity and Planning Ethics; CM law: Hot Topics in Housing Law, and Planning Law Review (2014, 2013, or earlier).
- Find a listing of free CM credits that are offered through distance education products. Opportunities are added as they become available, so please check back frequently for the most current information.
- Use the self-reporting tool that enables members to record up to eight credits within each two-year reporting period for activities that meet CM criteria but aren’t registered by a provider. Click on the “Add Self-reported credits” button located on your CM log page at to access this tool.
