2022 GPA Fall Chapter Awards

The Georgia Planning Association recognized and honored the projects and efforts of our members and their communities during our Annual Chapter Awards at the 2022 Fall Conference in Columbus. This program not only showcases the great planning work being done in Georgia, but it allows us all to learn from one another and draw inspiration from the success of others as we look to help our communities achieve their best.

Presented for sustained contribution to the craft of planning through distinguished practice, teaching, or writing.


Award Category: Distinguished Service in Journalism

Project Name: Modern Mobility Podcast
Award Winners: Keli Kemp & Kirsten Mote

Presented to an individual who has used public media to significantly advance and promote the cause of community planning.


Award Category: Distinguished Planning Leadership in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Project Name: Activate ATL

In recognition of an individual, specific planning tool, practice, program, project, or process that demonstrates an outstanding commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Recognizing an initiative where a region or community involves the general public in a planning activity above and beyond the minimum state or local requirements, and where that involvement contributes greatly to the final product.
