2016 GPA Spring Conference in Review

The GPA 2016 Spring Conference was held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Douglasville Conference Center, 6700 Church Street, in Downtown Douglasville, GA. GPA was pleased to welcome Tim Keane, the City of Atlanta’s Commissioner of Planning & Development, and previously Charleston, SC’s Director of Planning, Preservation and Sustainability, as our opening keynote speaker. In addition, there will be a wide variety of sessions offered, covering transportation, community engagement, environmental planning/sustainability, comprehensive planning/quality growth, and ethics, as well as a walking tour of Downtown Douglasville showcasing historic buildings which have been converted to modern uses.

GPA Spring Conference Welcome Reception

Thanks to our gracious Host Committee, there was a FREE welcome reception to kickoff the conference on Tuesday, April 19th. The reception was took place from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, also at the Douglasville Conference Center in Downtown Douglasville.

YPG held a Social at the Spring Planning Conference on April 20 from 4:30-6pm at the Irish Bred Pub & Restaurant, 6682 Broad St, Douglasville, GA 30134, one block from conference center.
