APA offers opportunities and resources for everyone who is committed to creating communities that thrive and prosper. Membership includes publications and resources associated with the APA and its state chapter.
Join the GPA
This membership is for non-professional members who want to be involved with the activities of the GPA. Membership is $60.00 annually, but must be registered through the APA.
Kickstart Your Planning Career — For Free!
Membership is free for any student actively enrolled or matriculated in any university or college degree program. “Free” includes APA, APA chapter, and AICP membership as well as membership in up to five APA divisions. Student members will be eligible for two years of reduced dues after ending their studies.

Special Dues Information
I am unemployed, but I want to retain my membership; am I eligible for a reduced dues rate?
Unemployment eligibility: current members who are unemployed or in transition, but who do not meet the requirements for life or retired membership status. Members may qualify for one year of reduced dues for every three years of continuous membership, up to a maximum of five years (for those who have been members for 15 years or longer). Members must request the reduced rate annually, and approval is subject to APA review.
