Welcome to Valdosta’s Community Planning Month! Our theme this year is “Changing Face Of America”, which recognizes the key role planners play in envisioning the future and addressing the needs of our communities. October 10, at noon, “Traffic and Tribulations” Lunch & Learn Presentation, City Annex Multi-Purpose Room, 300 N Lee Street, with Traffic Manager Kevin Tolliver as he tells you the answers to your most frequently asked questions about traffic and traveling throughout Valdosta. October 13, 11am, Lowndes County Historical Society, 305 W Central Ave, Valdosta Through Decades. Listen to Emily Foster, Historical Preservation Planner & Donald Davis, Museum’s Executive Director, as they tell you the intriguing stories of Valdosta’s Development from 1860-2010.
October 17, 12:30pm to 1:30pm, Tour of the Traffic Management Center, 310 East Adair Street. Meet with Transportation Manager Kevin Tolliver and Transportation Planner Corey Hull to discuss how we plan for roadway infrastructure and tour the state of the art Traffic Management Center.
