Atlanta’s Growing Elderburbia – Rethinking Solutions for an Aging Population

November 8, 2013 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

How can the Atlanta region provide communities for all generations? Are Atlanta communities positioned to keep Boomers in place while still attracting younger households? What are the challenges our communities face as the 1.3 million Baby Boomers in the Atlanta region age towards retirement and beyond? Join CNU Atlanta for a workshop featuring Philip B. Stafford, Ph.D., author of Elderburbia: Aging with a Sense of Place in America, and a panel of distinguished specialists on aging, public policy, and good community design including: M. Scott Ball, author of Livable Communities for Aging Populations: Urban Design for Longevity; a representative of Aging and Health Resources, Atlanta Regional Commission, and representatives from AARP and Georgia State University.
