Frederick Law Olmsted: Designing America

To kick the year off, Georgia Tech’s College of Design will be screening the PBS documentary “Frederick Law Olmsted: Designing America.” The film will be introduced by Laurence Cotton, the principal researcher and consulting producer of the film. Following the screening, Cotton will present a short talk about Frederick Law Olmsted, Sr.’s his life and career and the legacy of the Olmsted Brothers’ firm.

What: Film viewing and discussion—all about the father of landscape design (aka, FLO)

Who: Anyone with an interest in learning more about the designer of New York’s Central Park, Boston’s Emerald Necklace, and even Atlanta’s Druid Hills neighborhood and Olmsted Linear Park
