This session will focus on online community engagement methods and techniques, featuring the work of MindMixer, a collaborative, on-line community engagement company. It will highlight emerging technologies that are becoming more and more important for effective community engagement, offering insight by way of specific examples from various online community engagement projects. Steve Miller, Co-founder of MindMixer, will discuss his company’s experience with this methodology and offer strategies for effectively implementing this increasingly important medium for community engagement. This session will be valuable to planners and other public officials involved in community planning process who want to keep abreast of current developments in online community engagement techniques.

Steve Miller is a city planner and a co-founder of MindMixer where he serves as the Partnership Manager. Steve is passionate about community engagement and incorporating citizen based input in decision-making processes. He has over 20 years of city planning experience, as both a public sector planner and a planning consultant.
