Solutions 2013: National Conference on State and Local Housing Policy
September 16, 2013 - September 18, 2013
Solutions 2013, the national conference on state and local housing policy, is full of great speakers. From Habitat for Humanity International CEO Jonathan T.M. Reckford to HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan to the dozens of national and local housing practitioners and advocates sharing their wisdom at our workshops and roundtables, there will be no shortage of experts at this event.
But there’s more to Solutions than just big-name speakers. Solutions 2013 includes four concurrent workshop tracks, including a practical, research-driven track called How Housing Matters. Presented in partnership with the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, this track ties together current research on the intersection of housing and other social issues with great work housing professionals are doing on the ground, and the public policies that can enable these efforts to move forward. These workshops feature professionals from across the country whose work crosses silos to ensure housing interventions benefit whole people, whole families, and whole communities.

And the How Housing Matters track has some big names of its own, like panelists Heather Schwartz, Ph.D., of the Rand Corporation and Dan Immergluck, Ph.D., of Georgia Tech University.
