HB 1- Haleigh’s Hope Act- Medical Marijuana
A substitute bill passed the House of Representatives allowing up to 20 ounces of medical cannabis oil, with a doctor’s prescription to treat a list of particular diseases. The list includes Cancer, Fibromyalgia, ALS, Mitochondrial disease, MS, Parkinson’s, Sickle Cell disease, and seizure disorders. The Senate is expected to scrutinize and potentially reduce the number of applicable diseases.
