University of Georgia Planning Program Update

The new Professional Graduate Degree program in Environmental Planning and Design (MEPD) at UGA recently awarded 15 degrees in planning. The MEPD program was visited by the Planning Accreditation Board in February, and the PAB decision for initial accreditation is anticipated at the November conference of the American Colleges and Schools of Planning. In Fall 2016, UGA will begin another program at the Doctoral level for a PhD in Environmental Design and Planning which will include three principal focus areas: Planning, Landscape Architecture and Historic Preservation.
