Description
The Coastal Regional Commission (CRC) is a coastal Georgia based organization serving ten counties and thirty-five cities with comprehensive planning and development services. Our Planning and Government Services Department is announcing a new job opening for a Planning Manager. The position will manage assigned staff and work closely with local governments on advanced, highly complex professional planning and government services activities. The Planning Manager will:

  • Manage assigned staff and daily operations;
  • Develop and implement local comprehensive plans;
  • Develop and implement regional plans;
  • Work with federal and state partners to administer projects;
  • Provide staff support to local governments;
  • Liaison between CRC and external organizations

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning or related field;
  • Minimum six years of planning related experience; graduate degree may substitute for 2 years of experience;
  • Interdisciplinary knowledge of urban and regional planning and Georgia planning law;
  • Proficient in interpreting federal and state regulations;
  • Proficient in the use of computers and Office 365 software;
  • Superior, demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, solid organization skills, and self-motivated.

Salary Range
$70,000 – $75,000
