Bringing Together Students, Alumni, Faculty, Staff, and Planning Professionals

One of our favorite SCaRP traditions is starting the academic year by bringing together students, alumni, faculty, staff, and planning professionals from across Georgia. On August 28, the School of City and Regional Planning and the Georgia Planning Association welcomed the fall semester with our annual SCaRP-GPA fall social.

With approximately 150 attendees, the evening was filled with conversations, new introductions, reunions, career advice, and plenty of opportunities to strengthen connections across the planning community.

Whether attendees were meeting classmates for the first time, reconnecting with alumni, exchanging professional insights, or expanding their networks, the reception reflected the collaborative spirit that makes the planning community so special.

We are grateful to the Georgia Planning Association for its continued partnership and to everyone who joined us to help kick off the semester. We look forward to seeing the connections, collaborations, and ideas that grow from gatherings like this throughout the year.
