District 4 Board Vacancy 

GPA extends many thanks to Jenny Parmer for her service as GPA District 4 Director. Jenny joined the GPA Board in June 2024, and was reelected to the Board in last year’s elections. Jenny has recently taken a new position which takes her out of District 4. Per GPA bylaws, a District Director needs to have their address on record with APA in the District in which they serve (Article VI, Section 1(c)). Please join me in wishing Jenny a hearty thanks for her service to GPA and success in her next endeavor.

With the Board vacancy in District 4, the Board is seeking interested members to fill this position through its term ending on December 31, 2026. District 4 is located in west-central Georgia and is comprised of Butts, Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Lamar, Meriwether, Pike, Spalding, Troup, and Upson Counties and its many towns and cities including Barnesville, Carrollton, Franklin, Greenville, Griffin, Jackson, LaGrange, Newnan, Senoia, Thomaston, Villa Rica, Zebulon, and more! In addition to living or working within District 4, interested candidates must be a member of good standing in APA and GPA. District Director responsibilities include:

• Regular communication with members within the District;
• Organizing educational activities within the District; 
• Supporting active participation of District members in GPA and APA through the participation in conferences and awards nominations; and
• Active participation in the GPA Board including attendance at GPA Board meetings.
