The Georgia Chapter Board nominations period will close on Friday, May 8. In 2026, the Chapter will be filling the following Board positions:

• President-Elect
• AICP Directors-at-Large (2 positions)
• Directors for Districts 2, 4, 6, and 8 (see the Map)

We are still looking for people to fill the AICP Director-at-Large positions. This role builds partnerships with allied organizations and agencies, actively participates as a member of at least one of the committees (Programs, Awards, Chapter Services, etc.) of the Chapter and encourages members and communities to apply for Chapter and National Awards and Programs. The AICP Directors-at-Large and District Director terms are two calendar years, with the term ending on December 31, 2028.

These Board terms will commence on January 1, 2027. The President-Elect will serve for one year, 2027, serve as President for two years, 2028-2029, and serve as Past-President for one year, 2030.

Board member duties are defined in the Chapter Bylaws. Each candidate for office shall be a member in good standing of APA and the Chapter, and shall be at least 18 years of age.
