FAICP Nominations are Open

Election to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners (FAICP) is one of the highest honors that the American Institute of Certified Planners bestows upon a member.  Members of GPA are eligible for consideration if they have been members of AICP for 10 years or more, are members in good standing of AICP, and have achieved excellence in professional practice, teaching and mentoring, research, public or community service and leadership. Fellows are known for having made an outstanding contribution to the profession and to their communities over an extended period of time.

There are three ways to be nominated, one of which is nomination by your chapter. GPA will accept nominations for members of the Class of 2026 College of Fellows of AICP, who would like to be considered for nomination by the Chapter, until December 15, 2024. Please submit your nominations by email to Cristina Pastore, AICP, P.E. You may also nominate yourself if you wish, and you do not have to go through the Georgia Chapter if you desire to follow the alternative processes outlined by APA. Applicants are responsible for preparing their full nomination packages which must be submitted to APA by July 31, 2025.

Because of the prestigious nature of the FAICP honor, nomination materials are significant. The GPA deadline for nomination allows for decisions to be made and support to be offered to applicants to meet the July 31st deadline. Please consider the preparation time if you wish to submit a nomination.
