Georgia Tech Student Planning Association Hosts Vine City Neighborhood Tour
Recently, Georgia Tech’s Student Planning Association conducted a Neighborhood Tour of Vine City with Darin Givens, co-founder of ThreadATL and @atlurbanist on Instagram. The students toured the pedestrian bridge by Mercedes-Benz Stadium, discussed the history of the Home Depot Backyard, visited the site of E.A. Ware School, discussed the history and context of the new Friendship Baptist Church, and visited Morris Brown College. It was a highly educational tour and provided students with critical real-world planning examples and context. Neighborhood Tours occur approximately three times per school year. Georgia Tech’s Student Planning Association is currently seeking contacts for a Spring 2021 Neighborhood Tour.
