Get Involved with the Georgia Chapter!

Are you looking for a way to get more actively involved in GPA?

We currently have openings on the GPA Board and committee needs for the following:

  • District 4 Director: Represents 10 Counties in west Georgia including the cities of Carrollton, Griffin, and Newnan on the GPA Board.
  • District 8 Director: Represents 35 Counties in southeast Georgia including the cities of Dublin, Jesup, Valdosta, Vidalia, and Waycross on the GPA Board.
  • Planning Officials Development Officer (PODO): Advises the GPA Board and serves as a liaison to local planning commissions throughout the State as well as coordinates with professional planners, GA Dept. of Community Affairs, and others to promote continuing education of planning commissioners.

In addition, the Chapter Services committee is looking for volunteers to assist with the monthly newsletter.
