GPA Mentor Program Kicks Off 9th Year

The GPA Mentor Program held its first meeting of 2023 with a new group of Senior Mentors, Mid-Career Planners, and Emerging Planners. We are so excited to have 16 participants and four senior mentors from around the State! The mentoring committee is creating a program of six monthly meetings, tailored to touch on topics the participants identified in their applications. In January, we had the pleasure of hearing from our Senior Mentors: Bruce Berger, Corey Hull, Eric Lusher, and Rebecca Keefer, as they shared their thoughts on current planning issues and career growth within the planning field.

Our February meeting will feature a review of participants’ CPI 260 assessment, which is a management and leadership self-assessment tool. We look forward to future programming as well, brought to you by the committee, which includes Andrew Smith, Rebecca Keefer, and Shubhangi Jangam (all of whom are previous participants). Many thanks for their exceptional volunteerism!

The Mentor Program has included more than 120 of Georgia’s planners over the last nine years. We accept applications annually in September for a program that runs from January to June.
