We are very disappointed to announce that the 2020 GPA Spring Conference, originally scheduled for April 15 in Sandy Springs, is canceled in line with recommendations by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to limit effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
This was a difficult decision, as we know that many GPA members have spent a lot of time planning this conference. We worked with the conference venue, City Springs, to potentially identify a new date. However, after reviewing options, we found that some dates are too soon while others are too close to the fall conference. Therefore, the GPA Executive Committee made the decision to cancel the spring conference. This is not a decision we made lightly, but feel this is the best approach for the Chapter and our members.
Thank you to everyone that had registered early for the spring conference! We appreciate early registration, as it helps us to more accurately plan for event space, food, and other needs at conferences. We hope you will continue to register early for future conferences. Everyone who has paid will receive a refund.
If you paid online with a credit card, then we hope to simply refund your payment via your credit card. We are working with our registration vendor, Cvent, to do this.
If you paid by check, we have not deposited your check, and no action is needed from GPA. Please let your organization’s accounting department and/or other appropriate staff know that this event has been cancelled and that they can simply void your check payment.
