Welcome New and Returning Board Members

Georgia Planning Association is a membership-based organization with an all-volunteer board. Without the dedicated commitment of Board members and volunteers, the Chapter would not be able to host its conferences, publish a monthly online newsletter, host a website, send out social media messages, mentor and develop emerging planners, or host District events.

Serving on the Georgia Chapter board takes time and commitment, and we extend a deep gratitude for those who have served our organization. Thank you to all of the new and returning board members as well as those who stepped forward to run for a position on the board! We appreciate you.

President-Elect – Allison Stewart-Harris, AICP

Allison has been elected the next President of the Georgia Chapter. She will commence her term in 2025 as President-Elect, serve as President for 2026-2027, and then serve as Past-President in 2028. Allison is currently a Senior Associate and Planning Studio Manager at TSW in Atlanta, where in 2024, she has challenged her team to go “dot free” and find other creative ways to gather public input on planning projects. Allison previously served on the GPA Board as Vice President-Programs from 2018-2019.

District 2 Director – Lara Parker

Lara Parker has been in commercial real estate for over 20 years, with focus in asset management for large retail centers, office warehouses and Class A/B Office buildings. She is a managing partner of 20 East Development, a business development company which partners with DDA’s and county authority organizations on economic development projects, and is a license realtor with Lee Staples Realty. She currently serves as the Kiwanis Club of Conyers President and also serves on the board for The Dr. Annise Mabry Foundation’s Tiers Free Academy, a homeschool cooperative that works with over 78 counties, school districts and law enforcement agencies in the state of GA. She is also a member of the East Metro Board of Realtors.
