The National Committee on Levee Safety (NCLS) would like to invite you to learn more about their recommendations to Congress for a National Levee Safety Program. We are inviting stakeholders from around the region, including state, regional, and local agencies, and elected officials engaged in levee safety issues, levee owners and operators, floodplain managers, planners, emergency managers, local and regional business interests, environmental interests, economic development interests, public health and safety interests to join the NCLS on December 9, from 10:00 – 5:00, to:
- Learn more about the National Committee on Levee Safety (NCLS) and their recommendations for a National Levee Safety Program;
- Discuss implications and impacts to local and state governments regarding adoption of recommendations; and
- Provide feedback to the NCLS on the recommendations.
