Coming in 2010 is a national conference devoted to brownfield redevelopments. The National Brownfield Association (NBA) will be holding its flagship summit on March 23 and 24, 2010 in Atlanta.
THE BIG DEAL: Atlanta 2010 will have the best minds in the industry to share experiences and answer your questions at 25 information-rich sessions on today’s most relevant land development, real estate and brownfield-related topics. THE BIG DEAL: Atlanta 2010 will give you the tools to help you find, finance, plan and manage your next big deal.
This is an opportunity for you and your community to determine how brownfield redevelopments could help provide another option for business development.
A Unique Opportunity: submit a property
A distinctive part of THE BIG DEAL: Atlanta 2010 conference is The Transaction Forum. This Forum is designed to bring buyers, sellers, developers, and investors together, in an exclusive session to discuss brownfield redevelopment sites.
The goal is to select new and existing projects that will attract the most developer and investor interest. The NBA is seeking sites that are located near water and rail and have good access to highways.
The Transaction Forum is planned for Wednesday, March 24. Lunch will be served followed by remarks from invited presenters including Mathy V. Stanislaus, EPA’s assistant administrator in the Office Solid Waste and Emergency Response and William P. Lynott, CEO, Viridian Partners. Participants will be free to view properties and to discuss redevelopment opportunities with finalists.
Property owners or authorized agents seeking buyers, development partners or capital can submit property for consideration. The NBA Transaction Forum Committee will accept applications from September 15, 2009 through December 31, 2009 and will select the featured properties by January 30, 2010. These property owners/representatives will be invited to showcase their properties at THE BIG DEAL: Atlanta 2010 Transaction Forum. The Transaction Forum Committee will select featured properties based on perceived development potential.
All winners must comply with Transaction Forum showcase terms and conditions, be a paid conference attendee, and pay a $50 property showcase fee. The Transaction Forum Committee will select featured properties based on their perceived viability. The NBA reserves the right to select featured properties at its sole discretion.
