Urban Planner – Long Range Planning

The employee provides and performs a variety of professional urban planning activities in support of the Collaborative’s contract for the City of Sandy Springs. ( The individual in this position focuses on rezoning cases, long range planning and policy research related to housing.

Senior Building Inspector

The City of Sugar Hill is seeking a Senior Building Inspector to serve on our Planning and Development team. The role of Senior Building Inspector effectively communicates with public on issues related to construction regulation; administers professional, courteous and unbiased code enforcement; and examines construction documents for compliance with applicable regulations. The successful candidate will possess advanced working knowledge of the current State Minimum Standard Codes for construction, effective communication skills and proficiency in plan review.

Zoning Administrator

The purpose of this job is to manage and administer the day-to-day functions of the Zoning Department for the City. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising staff, establishing policies and procedures, delivering presentations, setting goals, preparing budgets and performing additional tasks as assigned.

Code Compliance Officer

This is an entry-level position responsible for enforcing compliance with all applicable City codes, including among others, the Zoning Ordinance, Sign Ordinance, Buffer, Landscape and Tree Ordinance, Property Maintenance Code, and Health and Sanitation Ordinance by investigating complaints, researching property information and determining appropriate action.
