Bicycle & Pedestrian Safety Action Plan

July 29, 2011 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Dear Bicycle & Pedestrian safety stakeholders, I am pleased to announce a series of upcoming meetings to discuss the statewide Bicycle & Pedestrian Safety Action Plan. That document was initially developed and finalized in 2008 and is due for updates and revisions.

This meeting will address the current status of the plan, necessary updates to data and recommendations, and an ongoing schedule; attached is a copy of the meeting agenda. We anticipate holding several subsequent meetings this year to continue the necessary updates to the current plan. Please let us know if you or someone else from your organization will be able to attend this meeting or have an interest in future meetings.

The Bicycle & Pedestrian Task Team will be meeting at the Georgia DOT office at One Georgia Center (Midtown, Atlanta) on Friday, July 29th from 10:00am-12:00pm. The meeting will be held in Room 403, on the 4th floor. Each attendee will need to check in at the front desk, so please plan on arriving a few minutes early. For information on the current plan document or meeting details, please contact Byron Rushing at GDOT: or myself at
