This is a custom version of the Coastal Community Resilience training course. This training course increases participant’s understanding of the basic principles of disaster resilience planning by introducing meaningful actions that can be taken to enhance a community’s resilience to natural hazards. The course provides tools that allow for the assessment of hazards and risks facing a coastal community; identification of potential social, economic, and environmental impacts of these hazards; and plan to prevent or mitigate the negative effects of the hazards such that a community is more resilient and can rebound from a hazard.
