The GPA Fall Conference is returning to Georgia’s first city, and GPA’s most popular destination, beginning September 28! We want everyone to be there and you can sign up for the event right away.
Recalling the roots of community planning, GPA returns to the irst planned city in Georgia for this year’s Fall conference. The event will focus on the evolving face of local planning, the tools and resources available and the political challenges ahead. Mobile workshop opportunities already established include a demonstration of current efforts at the Georgia Ports Authority, resource protection around the Savannah and sustainability efforts as part neighborhood revitalization. The traditional opportunities for AICP prep support and planning oficials training will return for the fall conference, and be sure to join us for the annual membership meeting and the reception and auction to raise funds for the Denise Abboud Memorial Fund. A schedule of all the sessions and activities will be posted once the full agenda is completed.
Savannah is among the most culturally rich cities within the USA, and presents a wonderful place to host our annual gathering. From the beauty and charm of the historic structures and parks to the economic bustle of the tourism and passing cargo ships, the city and the region will be heavily showcased as part of our learning activities and, undoubtedly, our chance to celebrate with friends and colleagues.
