Webinar and Discussion: Designing Communities to Support Mobility

November 20, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

One of the greatest challenges for maintaining the health and independence of our aging population is designing communities that provide accessible connections to support the changing mobility needs of our elders. Designing communities with the senior in mind can provide improved opportunities for healthy transportation while preserving independence and dignity for people who wish to age in place. What’s more, communities that work for our eldest populations benefit users of all abilities.

The CSRA Regional Commission will host a webinar viewing and discussion on Wednesday, November 20th from 3-5pm at the RC office, located at 3626 Walton Way Extension, Suite 300 in Augusta, GA. The RC has covered the cost of this webinar; it will be free to all who attend the viewing at our office. This webinar is part of a series offered by the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals, and AICP, ASLA, and ITE credits have been applied for.

This webinar and the others in the 2019-2020 series will be viewed from the CSRA Regional Commission office; time will be available afterwards for discussion of local/regional issues.

For questions or RSVP, please email Regina Pyles or call 706-210-2000.
