This Road Show course takes a 4-hour condensed version of Good Urbanism 101 to Macon, GA, highlighting urban design examples specific to the city of Macon.
Around the country, communities are confronting threats to their health and quality of life - high rates of chronic disease, unhealthy food choices, stress, economic challenges, and few opportunities for an active lifestyle, as well as overwhelming medical costs and a growing elderly population. Increasingly, they are seeking to solve these threats by changing the places they live, work, and go to school.
Although this event will shamelessly plug the District 10 Young Planners Group, as well as the Fall Conference, the event is primarily for socializing with area planners. Please plan on attending, and invite your colleagues!
