GPA is now accepting Board Member Nominations for the 2017 State Planning Elections. Deadline May 15, 2017.
Interested in getting more involved in GPA? Ever thought, I think GPA should… I wonder if GPA could… I wish GPA would…? Take Action, and make your ideas a reality. You can make an impact on planning across the state of Georgia.
This year GPA has a number of great opportunities in which to serve on the Board of Directors. The following is a list of the open positions for the upcoming election:
- Vice President of Programs
- Vice President of Chapter Services
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- District Director (5 positions)– Districts 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9
- Non-AICP Director-at-Large (2 positions)
- Planning Officials Director

The Board is a great way to network, connect and give back to GPA, and help build the Association that you can be proud of. Take the opportunity to learn more about your profession and the organization making great communities happen in Georgia.
Elections will take place online fromAugust 7 to September 7, and the winners will be announced at the GPA Fall Conference in Columbus, GA, September 27-29. New board member terms officially begin January 1, 2018.
