Welcome to New Board Members
As we prepare for 2026 GPA activities, we would like to take the opportunity to welcome our three new board members: Amanda Hatton, Richard McLeod, and Tate Wilson.
Our membership elected Amanda Hatton to serve on the Executive Board as our new secretary. Amanda has been a longstanding figure in the Atlanta planning consultant community, working with cities and counties across the metro for almost twenty years. She is currently the Community Planning Manager at Blue Cypress Consulting, and previously served as GPA’s Vice President of Programs. Welcome back to the Board, Amanda!
Richard McLeod was elected to serve as one of our two Non-AICP Directors at Large. Since 2017, he has been the Director of Community Development at the City of Dunwoody. Previous roles include the Director of Community Development at both the City of Alpharetta and the City of Woodstock. Richard is the kind of planner who blends pragmatism with bold principles of planning and design. He believes that “we are not just planners, but agents of change to make the places that we live in, work at, or play in even more amazing than they were before.”
Joining Richard as a new board member is Tate Wilson, a director at KB Advisory Group. In her role at KB, she blends urban planning and real estate market analysis to help communities across Georgia—and beyond—to meet their economic development and growth goals. Prior to working at KB, Tate was with Noell Consulting Group and the Council for Quality Growth. Tate will be serving as GPA’s District 3 (Atlanta metro) Director. She notes that “as a native Georgian, involved Atlanta resident, and dedicated professional, I care deeply about the future of this region. I would be honored to serve and support our planning community in this role.”
Thank you all for your service!
