This year, the New Partners Conference makes its way to America’s heartland – Kansas City, MO. Long acclaimed for its legendary jazz, blues and barbecue, Kansas City is now striving to implement a vision of smart growth and sustainability that promotes economic vitality, environmental quality and social equity.

A 2-day course in Duluth (Mar 26-27) will use an interactive, case study format to teach about environmental justice as it relates to community outreach and transportation impacts (7 CM including 1.5 Law).

In cooperation with the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission we will hold a planner’s lunch in Rome, GA.

This session will focus on online community engagement methods and techniques, featuring the work of MindMixer, a collaborative, on-line community engagement company. It will highlight emerging technologies that are becoming more and more important for effective community engagement, offering insight by way of specific examples from various online community engagement projects.

Please join us on Thursday, March 28, for the Young Planners Group Spring Event. This event will include a guided tour of Ponce City Market and a presentation of the proposed infrastructure improvements for the Ponce Corridor.
